Ethically made

From the start we pledged to not compromise on our core values so we instill responsible practices with ethical manufacturing which is fair and ethical treatment of workers, commitment to Human Rights, Equal Opportunity and Employment

This has been something we have made our priority from the start. Prior to manufacturing with any factories, we always make a personal visit to make sure all ethical standards are followed.

China Factory

Certification: Sedex-certified, ensuring ethical practices

Location: Guangzhou, China

Tier: 1 (Which means cut, make and trim. We have a direct relationship with this factory)

We are so excited for this opportunity to produce in China which allows for far more access to quality fabrics and accessories and feel strongly about our partnership and that they share the same values as us. We are visiting this factory in November 2023

Bali Factory

Family-run, led by a mother-daughter team, that offers:
* Above award wages
* Holiday and sick pay
* Health care for workers and their families

Location: Bali, Indonesia

Cruelty Free

At Remi, we deeply value the well-being of animals and the integrity of the environment. Our commitment to sustainable and compassionate fashion choices drives our decision-making process when selecting materials for our products. Here's why we've consciously opted against the use of silks, feathers, and fur:

Silk:

The production of silk involves the boiling of silkworms alive to retrieve the silk thread from their cocoons. This process results in the death of thousands of silkworms.

Alternative materials are now available that can replicate the softness and sheen of silk without any harm to living creatures. By choosing these alternatives, we hope to reduce the demand for traditional silk and encourage more humane practices in the industry.

Feathers:

Feathers are often plucked from live birds, causing them extreme pain and distress.

With advancements in technology, there are synthetic alternatives available that offer the warmth and softness of down without any cruelty.

Fur:

The fur industry has been under scrutiny for its treatment of animals. Many animals are kept in cramped and unsanitary conditions only to be killed for their pelts.

Fur farming also has a significant environmental footprint due to the resources used in keeping these animals.

We believe in promoting cruelty-free alternatives which can provide the same aesthetic and warmth as genuine fur, without the associated ethical concerns.

While it might not be wrapped around your purchase, know that every garment has traveled from the factory in a fully compostable bag. It's an additional cost we willingly bear to reduce waste and our carbon footprint.


All our mailers are made from 100% recycled Ocean Bound Plastic pollution that has been rescued from the environment in Southeast Asia. It is certified as Ocean Bound Plastic - plastic that meets the following criteria;​

- has been abandoned​

- in an area with no formal waste management infrastructure​

- is within 50km of the coast​
